Which is, I’m sure, a wonderful use for it. But since I can hardly be considered a grownup (hence why I thought the Dalek Desk Defender was a fabulous idea), I think this would make a terrific addition to your desk security. Because isn’t there always someone in the office who insists on either “borrowing” your stapler or outright stealing and eating your candy stash? Of course there is. The Stay Out of My Room Alarm is a motion sensor alarm that works in tandem with a wristband to let you know when someone is near something you wish they would leave alone. The cuff can be set for either a flashing light with an alarm, or a silent mode with just flashing lights (which is probably less obtrusive if you’re wearing it in a meeting with your boss). There are two small motion sensors (each one measures just 1/2-inch in diameter and 1/2-inch deep) that can be placed around whatever it is you want to protect. It only has a range of about 100 feet, but then if you’re further away you’re probably not going to catch them red-handed anyway, right? It requires six AAA batteries to operate (not included).
