Scoop Can Help With Your Weight Loss Goals Beth Snyder December 29, 2011 The new year is almost upon us, and with it comes resolutions. More than half of you will probably resolve to lose weight in the coming year, and more than half of you will fail. The trouble I run into is with spreads…a serving size is nowhere near the amount I prefer to have, so even if I’m eating something relatively healthy like low-fat peanut butter, I end up eating at least twice the amount I’m supposed to. If you read labels as I do, you know that what looks like a reasonable amount of calories or fat in a single serving can quickly get out of hand when you have more. Scoop looks like a fabulous answer to cutting back! It’s a measuring spoon. It’s a spreading knife. It’s a scoop, of course. Just fold the edges up and scoop up your peanut butter (or cream cheese, or whatever) according to the measurement marks. Then when you have the desired amount, simply fold Scoop flat and spread it on your toast. It’s that simple. Features include what they call a living hinge to allow for quickly switching from spoon to spreader and grip strips that provide a firm handle for use. You can store it flat or folded, whichever works best for your kitchen. It’s made of food-safe plastic and measures 70mm w x 172mm h x 6mm d. It would appear that you have to hand wash it, but you never know. Here’s the bad part…there is no price listed. In fact, there’s a box for you to say how much you’d pay for it, and a notation that price and features are subject to change during production. But I still think it’s neat.
