Save $50 on the New Nexus 5X from Google Michael Kwan December 9, 2015 News It’s not very often that you find these kinds of savings on phones that are only a couple of months old. The LG-made Nexus 5X by Google was only announced at the end of September with shipments starting a few weeks after that. If the price was a sticking point for you, you’ll be happy to hear that Google has discounted the Nexus 5X by a cool fifty bucks. As you might recall, the Nexus 5X is effectively the successor to the Nexus 5 from 2013. It still has a plastic shell and the display is roughly the same size with the same 1080p resolution, but the specs have been bumped, you get a far superior 12MP camera, and then there’s the introduction of the Nexus Imprint fingerprint reader on the back and the USB Type-C connector on the bottom. The $50 price cut applies to both the 16GB and the 32GB variants of the Nexus 5X, which are now available for $329 and $379, respectively. This price is reflected both through the Google Play Store and if you were to buy the Nexus 5X from Amazon. Sadly, this temporary price reduction isn’t being reflected in the Canadian version of Google’s store, so you’ll need to order from the US site or from Amazon.com. Share This With The World!
