The Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Apple iPhone 8 will be battling it out later this year for smartphone supremacy, and one will inevitably outsell the other, but when all the smoke clears and the dust settles, the real loser will be obvious: our wallets.

Apple’s redesigned iPhone 8 will reportedly cost more than $1,000, and now rumor has it that Samsung could actually pass that price point with the Galaxy S8. We won’t get official pricing and launch details until sometime in March, but a leaked database screenshot obtained by SamMobile appears to show what the phone will cost in the Ukraine. Converted to US dollars, it looks like the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will cost $950 and $1,050, respectively.

None of this has been confirmed or verified, blah blah blah, but if it turns out to be true it would mean that Samsung could be charging over $100 more than they did for the Galaxy S7.
