According to a new report from South Korean publication inews24, both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the LG G4 may be following in the footsteps of last year’s HTC One (M8) by using two rear cameras instead of the standard single camera. A dual-camera arrangement would allow for pictures with better resolution and depth of field.

It’s important to note that in the case of the Galaxy S6, the inews24 rumors clash with both the leaked pictures of alleged Galaxy S6 cases, which have not shown a dual-camera setup, and multiple hardware reports that don’t list a second rear camera. However, Samsung has been hyping up their Exynos 7 Octa processor, specifically stating that it can support dual cameras. They’ve also confirmed that they’re developing dual cameras for mobile use, though they haven’t paired that announcement with the Galaxy S6 specifically.

As far as the LG G4 goes, nothing about its design has leaked yet as the phone is still expected to be a ways off, so it’s anybody’s guess as to what that particular smartphone will bring to the table.
