oneplusone

The OnePlus One, despite having a name that I still can’t get onboard with, is no doubt an appealing smartphone. The Hong Kong-based company certainly thought highly of their phone when they launched it last year and you could argue that they’ve proven its value by selling one million units despite the phone only being available through a bizarre invite system.

The phone should really take off now that OnePlus is taking it off of the invite system – for one day a week. Yes, OnePlus are a little eccentric. Everyday Tuesday, the OnePlus One will be available, without an invite, for the full 24 hours. I don’t know what this does to the invite system. One would think it would render invites obsolete since you could always just wait until a Tuesday to pick the phone up. I won’t even pretend to know what’s going on.

The OnePlus One offers a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, a 13MP camera, 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, 3GB RAM, and a 3100 mAh battery. The 16GB Silk White model will be available for $299. The 64GB Sandstone Black model will run you $349.
