Rosewill Displays New Lineup at CES 2013 Featuring THRONE Case James White January 7, 2013 Press Release It is that time of year again, so I hope you are ready for the bombardment of new products, new concepts, and release of concepts from last year. We will kick things off with Rosewill because they sent me an e-mail first. Leading the way is the Rosewill Throne PC case which will be released for sale as of CES 2013. The Rosewill Throne PC is an updated look to the Rosewill Thor V2 as it has all same features with a few tweaks to the design. First you will notice there are only three 5.25″ external bays as there is far less need for more; however, this makes room to bring up the internal 3.5″ bays to 10. This is great for a full tower case since you may like to using RAID arrays in these larger enclosures. The front I/O now has four USB 2.0, two USB 3.0, HD audio output, a build-in HDD dock, and a new switch system for the fan controllers. The venting system has also been reworked to fit in with the new aesthetic. There are also a number of smaller updates such as the new front I/O shield quick release, ability to add a second layer of 120/140 mm fans, and a reversal front door. The other showcase piece is the Rosewill RK-9200 Mechanical keyboard. This keyboard will have individually backlit keys with red LEDs for all but the WASD and arrow keys. Those 8 keys will have green LEDs. You can also control the brightness of the two sets of LEDs independently of each other. As with previous models, you will have your choice of Cherry MX switch keys on release. Rosewill is also showing their new peripheral items such HDD docks, external enclosures, wireless adapters, a USB 3.0 hub that looks a lot like a Playstation 3, and items they have been announced in recent months. This will include several cases being released this year and Powerline Networking adapters. This should be an interesting start for the Newegg in-house brand as it starts the new year off.
