Reading Rainbow Returns with iPad App Dylan Duarte June 20, 2012 Take a look, it’s on a tablet, a Reading Rainboooooow. Reading Rainbow is back with LeVar Burton himself at the helm in the form of an iPad application. The app will be available at a subscription price, either $9.99 per month or $26.99 per six months, and will contain books, videos, and learning tools and experiences. To be honest, the app sounds phenomenal. Reading Rainbow was an invaluable resource when I was a kid and it sounds like the app delivers the experience in a whole new way. Each book can be read aloud by Burton himself or a one of the hand-picked speakers. New media will be added frequently and there will be an online library system where users can check out media five at a time for offline use. Let’s hope that the app can make its way to other tablets soon so it can reach and enlighten a wider audience of children eager to learn. via Slash Gear Share This With The World!
