Possible Pictures of iPad Pro 12.9 Prototype Surface Dylan Duarte May 17, 2014 It wasn’t even a week ago that I was giving Samsung a hard time over their 13.3-inch “Warhol” tablets and now a picture has surfaced supposedly showing off a prototype of Apple’s 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Giant tablet computers are a thing now, apparently. Of course, this isn’t the first mention of the iPad Pro. Rumors of a larger Apple tablet have been kicking around for a little while, but this is the first visual evidence that it exists, if this is indeed legitimate. The picture shows an aluminum backplate that looks absolute monstrous when clenched in a single human hand. According to a translation of the French blog that it popped up on, the piece in the picture is a reference for molding cases, so that should be an accurate indicator of the tablet’s size. Like I said when talking about the Samsung tablets, larger tablets definitely serve a purpose, but with that added size, portability sort of goes out the window. I think that maybe these devices shouldn’t be regarded as tablets, because that word implies some form of mobility, and I don’t think there would be anything convenient about carrying one of these around. The iPad Pro is basically a tiny touchscreen television. Via iPhone in Canada Share This With The World!
