So, it has all come down to this. The Internet’s worst kept secret has now been finally unveiled to the world. The OnePlus 5 is almost exactly what we were expecting, for better or for worse, and you can start getting your hands on it as of today. Sort of.

As has been reported so long ago now, the OnePlus 5 skips over the unlucky OnePlus 4 to deliver a dual camera configuration. The main rear camera is a 16-megapixel shooter with a f/1.7 aperture, while the other one is a telephoto 20MP camera with an f/2.6 aperture. Just like the iPhone 7 Plus, this allows for some faux bokeh in portrait mode. On the front, you’ll find a 16MP f/2.0 selfie cam.

Powered by the peppy Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, the OnePlus 5 comes in two main configurations. The cheaper of the two is Slate Gray and has 64GB of storage with 6GB of RAM, while the higher Midnight Black model gets 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. The 5.5-inch AMOLED screen is only 1080p and the battery is 3,300mAh, which should be good enough for a full day’s use.

The fingerprint reader is built into the pill-shaped home button below the screen and you’ll get LTE support (include Band 66 for Freedom Mobile in Canada). All said, you get a solid, if not overwhelmingly amazing device for about 70% of the price of competing flagships. Early reviews echo this sentiment, saying the phone is great but not as innovative or as cheap as previous iterations from OnePlus.

OnePlus 5 Finally Revealed with Unexciting $479 Price Point

Expect to pay $479 US ($649 Canadian) or $539 US ($719 Canadian) for each respective model. A limited run is available today through the online store when you use the code “Clearer Photos.” Otherwise, you can wait for the official full launch on June 27.
