Old Maid Day Beth Snyder June 4, 2011 Hey, it’s a holiday for me! Today is the day to celebrate women who are still unmarried at an advanced age, often to the chagrin of our longsuffering mothers. I actually could have been married on two, almost three separate occasions, but something made me back off. Not that it’s out of the question, but I really can’t see it happening. So I guess this one really isn’t for me, as the point of it is to encourage men to look at their single women friends to see if maybe they’ve been missing something and should try dating them.
