Mommy, I’m Here (Don’t Lose Your Kids) Beth Snyder March 10, 2011 Last spring, I went to Chicago with my niece and nephew and their three small children. We brought strollers, we brought harnesses, and we were an equal number of adults. We figured we had it covered, and for the most part we were right. But anyone who has a child (or knows a child) who is in the “I can do it myself” independent stage knows how hard it is to get them to cooperate sometimes. Enter the “Mommy, I’m Here” Child Locator System. You keep a keychain fob, and attach the bear to your child. Then, when they inevitably wander just out of eyesight and give you a heart attack, you just push the button and it activates the 86dB alarm in the bear. It will work up to 150 feet away. For only about $25.00 US, it’s affordable sanity insurance for parents. The system is available in brown or pink, the receiver is water-resistant, and it comes with one micro 12 volt and two CR2032 wafer batteries pre-installed. The only drawback is that it currently can only be shipped in the US. Source: The Gadgeteer Share This With The World!
