Grush: The Gaming Toothbrush for Kids is Coming Soon Beth Snyder January 7, 2015 Remember last spring when we talked about Grush: The Gaming Toothbrush for Kids? At that time, they were seeking funding on Indiegogo, and I’m pleased to report they made it! They were originally anticipating shipping in October 2014, but now they are accepting pre-orders for shipment in “Q1 2015”. To refresh your memory, Grush stands for Gaming Toothbrush. The idea is to make teeth brushing fun for kids in an effort to get them to actually do it without all the drama. All you need is a smartphone you’re comfortable keeping by your bathroom sink (I’m eyeing my old one right now), and the Grush system. As your kids brush, games sync to their motions on the phone, giving them better scores the better they brush. And then the sneaky part. Grush takes that information and reports it to parents via an app, so they can track how often and how well their kids are actually brushing without having to stand over them. If your kids are playing the games correctly, they should get 30 seconds of brushing time in each section of their mouths, which is the amount of time recommended by most dentists. There are a variety of games to choose from, so it need never be boring for them. As I mentioned above, Grush is available for pre-order now, with shipping expected to take place in the first quarter of this year. Cost for each Grush is $59.00 US, but remember you also need to provide a smartphone in order to play the games. Source: Gadget Review Share This With The World!
