Google Has No Plans to Develop for Windows 8 Dylan Duarte December 12, 2012 According to the product management director for Google Apps, Clay Bavor, Google only goes where the users are. For that reason, the company has no plans to develop apps for Windows 8, Windows RT or Windows Phone 8, all of which have yet to really gain popularity amongst a lot of consumers. Of course, if that changes and Windows Phone 8 starts seeing a surge of new users, Bavor says the company would reconsider its decision. Until then, they’re being very careful with their time, and currently putting a lot of it into iOS and Android development. According to Bavor, 2013 will see Google making big investments in mobile and the mobile apps the company currently puts out are simply “first versions.” This isn’t great news for Windows 8 and Windows RT users, but it’s not surprising. Why waste all of that time, money, and effort on such a small audience when you could be working on something for the masses? via Slash Gear Share This With The World!
