How to Get a Free Chromecast from Rogers Wireless Michael Kwan March 18, 2016 News Do you remember the upgraded and totally round Chromecast that was announced last September alongside the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P? Have you been itching to make your smart TV even smarter with one of these things? If you’re in Canada, you could be eligible for a free Chromecast from the good people at Rogers Wireless. Naturally, it’s not going to surprise anyone that Rogers is not doing this out of the kindness of their greedy little red hearts. If you head over to the Rogers wireless promotions page, you’ll see that they are offering a free Chromecast when you sign up for a new 2-year Share Everything plan (I think this includes renewals). You need to purchase a new Android phone through the Rogers online store and get it activated to be eligible. Once you’ve gone through the process of buying a new phone, you’ll be e-mailed with a special code to use through the Google Store website to “buy” your free Chromecast. Rogers also reminds you that if you get a Share Everything + plan that you get up to three Spotify Premium accounts for free too… and then you can use your new Chromecast to stream music from your new Spotify accounts. The new Chromecast is valued at $45 in Canada. It’s not the biggest bonus, but it’s a nice little gift if you were planning on signing a new contract with Rogers anyways. Share This With The World!
