After all, as many people have pointed out, he seems to be the closest thing the real world has to a Tony Stark. Want further proof? Musk recently purchased the transformable submarine car that James Bond drove in The Spy Who Loved Me. Want further proof? After learning that the car can’t actually transform, he’s going to make it so. Musk plans to outfit the vehicle with a Tesla electric powertrain so that it can transfrom from a car into a submarine and back again. Apparently the vehicle still functions as a sub, but that seems to be all it really does. If you’re not familiar with Elon Musk, all of this may sound surprisingly eccentric.
