BroApp Takes the Hassle Out of Texting Your Girlfriend

If you’re not used to having a girlfriend, you might find some things to be a hassle. Take texting, for instance. If you’re not together, she’s probably going to want to talk to you, and your phone going off every couple of minutes is probably going to interfere with what you’re trying to do. She probably will even expect you to text her first occasionally, because for some reason she thinks communication in a relationship should be a two-way street. What’s a guy to do?

Pay two bucks for BroApp, that’s what.

What’s BroApp? It’s an app that allows you to schedule text messages to your girlfriend on specific days at specific times, all set up ahead of time so you don’t have to stop what you’re doing to actually remember that she had something important to her scheduled and you should ask her about it. You don’t even have to have your phone with you! The app will take care of sending her a text to show her how much you care without any further input from you. Isn’t that neat? It even asks you to identify her home Wi-Fi, so it doesn’t send her a text while you’re actually with her at her house, and if you’ve recently actually spoken with her, it cancels scheduled texts so you don’t get caught.

From the description: “BroApp allows users to ‘outsource their relationships’ and spend more time with ‘the bros’ by sending automated romantic texts to a girlfriend’s phone.”

I’m sure you can see how convenient that would be, not having to stop hanging out with your friends for even the two seconds it takes to send your girlfriend a text message. She’ll never even know you’re using an automated service!

I’m sorry, I can’t do this. BroApp is one of the stupidest things I’ve ever heard of. Maybe it’s because I’m female, but seriously… does any one actually think this is a good idea? Because if you do, maybe there’s a reason you’re not used to having a girlfriend. That reason is because you’re selfish and suck at relationships. If you can’t remember to talk to your girlfriend because you’re too busy hanging out with the guys (which is what the ads for this idiotic thing specifically mention), your relationship with her is doomed. Utterly doomed. Not that you shouldn’t hang out with the guys, but if you want the benefits of having a girlfriend, you’re going to have to make at least a modicum of effort toward making her happy as well.

BroApp costs $2.00 US, and is available now for Android.
