Aviator Knit Hat Keeps Your Ears Warm and Your Tunes Hot Beth Snyder October 30, 2012 No matter how hard I try to deny it, winter is on its way. Of course, thanks to Hurricane Sandy, some of you are experiencing winter so undeniably you’re probably not wasting your precious battery life reading this, but for the rest of us we’re still planning ahead. One of the things that is pretty well-known, yet often ignored, is the fact that more heat escapes out the top of your head than any other part of your body. Why then do so many people not wear hats? I rarely do because I have so much hair it’s hard to keep them on my head, especially if I have it pulled up or back. But one of the reasons I hear fairly often is that hats don’t work with earbuds, especially if they have flaps for keeping your ears warm. Well, now there is a solution to that little problem. This knit aviator-style hat from Boss Tech will not only keep your head warm, but it will allow you to listen to your music without interference. It’s even fairly attractive, if a little silly. It’s made of knit acrylic, and will stretch to fit just about any head size…but it will also pull back into shape when not being worn. In and of itself, it’s just a neat hat with ear flaps. But wait, there’s more! Sewn into the hat are stereo speakers, with a three-foot long cable ending in a 3.5mm jack, so you can plug it into pretty much any music-making gadget you happen to own. If it was just speakers, that would be neat enough. However…there is still more! It’s also a headset, so if you plug it into your phone, you can take calls as well. The inline microphone allows you to control volume as well as answer and end calls. It even has a collar clip so you can more easily manage the cable. What more can you ask from a hat? This one will run you around $50.00 US. Source: 7 Gadgets Share This With The World!
