Who would’ve guessed an easy thing like taking down a grand total of three storm windows (we’ve been doing a few a day, changing over to screens) would so thoroughly stretch all of the muscles and scar tissue in my abdomen that I would feel like I’d spent the afternoon on a medieval rack? Luckily, I still have codeine. Unluckily, I’m not so thrilled about what this says for my chances of getting back to work for real any time soon. I know, I know…it takes time to completely heal from major surgery. But patience has never been one of my virtues. Besides…having virtually no income for the last month is putting a fairly large damper on my bill-paying abilities.
