Anniversary of the CD Player Beth Snyder October 1, 2011 Where would we be without the CD player? Granted, they’re not as common as they used to be, but with everything from music to movies to sensitive data being stored on them, they are still definitely a part of just about everyone’s daily life. Me, I’m still stubbornly insisting on my music being on actual CDs I purchase from an actual store. I don’t find most available digital music to be of a high enough quality to let me enjoy it. With exceptions, of course…when I used to drive 16 hours one way for vacation I definitely used my iPod rather than hauling a million and twelve CDs with me. Well, for some stuff. Some of my music I still would bring a CD.
