World Cup and NBA Finals Beth Snyder June 18, 2010 I really must apologize to the rest of the world…I inundate you with American football and hockey, and completely ignore the rest of sports. That’s because I really don’t like any others. Basketball I truly detest, and though I had no idea who might have won last night until I looked it up (congratulations, Lakers!) I was excited someone had because it meant I don’t have to sit through any more games. Soccer/football, on the other hand, I simply don’t get. I can’t even quite figure out the brackets for the World Cup, although I’ve tried. So to all of you who enjoy them, my apologies. And I hope your team won, or will win!
