This one marks the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s assassination. The basic point is to remind us that non-violence is often better than violence, and that his dream has still not been realized for all. Something I recently learned is that the reason he was in Memphis was to lead a march in support of striking garbage workers. I’d never known why he was there before, which is a sad statement on my education. Hopefully others will have done better, or, like me, be inspired to learn more.
