Vernal Equinox/Happy Birthday, Mom! Beth Snyder March 20, 2011 It is officially the first day of spring! Of course, for those of you who live in the North like I do, you know that calendar spring is not necessarily actual spring, but it’s one step closer to warmth! Today also happens to be my mother’s 75th birthday. I’m taking her out for brunch at our local high-end seafood restaurant, then while I’m at work one of my sisters is taking her to a movie, after which another sister is having her over for dinner. We tried to do a huge party, but none of our schedules worked out so well. Hopefully this will be good enough. I think 75 years on Earth is something worth celebrating, especially given how mentally and physically well she is.
