The News: Thursday, May 30 Edition Beth Snyder May 30, 2013 I’m writing this one early again, because there are several things going on around here that might well make it impossible for me to even get online for a bit. Starting with the easy stuff…tonight is game seven between the Wings and the Hawks, so this is it for one of us. Then I have a meeting in the morning, followed by a special election to vote for a new president of my union local. The big thing, however, is my niece having a CT scan to determine if she really did have a pulmonary embolism. She just called to tell me they let her go home from the hospital and will get the results in a few days, which leads me to believe there aren’t any clots. The best part is that means I get to spend the weekend at her house with her and her kids instead of watching her kids for her while she’s in the hospital and her husband is at work. Now, if only the Wings take this as a sign and knock Chicago out, life will be good!
