The News: Saturday, February 16 Edition Beth Snyder February 16, 2013 You’ve heard the saying, “One step forward, two steps back”, no? This is my life. I’ve only got one, maybe two weeks of physical therapy left before they send me on my merry way to finish getting myself prepped for work again on my own, so we’ve been going a little overboard getting as much stuff in as possible where there is a trained professional and also professional equipment. Because while the “balance board” I made using a piece of 2×6 and a steel pipe works, it’s just not the same, you know? Anyway, I’ve been way overdoing it. To the point where I wasn’t convinced I was going to make it to the car after work last night, and darn near had to call the house to see if my crutches could be brought out to the car so I could come in, since the cane really wasn’t cutting it. So while I’m accomplishing more than ever in physical therapy, afterward it leaves me walking worse than I was a month ago. Patience is a virtue I do not possess.
