Yesterday we were going to get out and do some stuff, but then her small son was cranky and needed a nap. So, we put together her daughter’s new bike and hung around the house instead. Let me tell you, when a child’s bicycle instructions say in huge letters “Assembles in Just Minutes”, you should be aware that they do not specify how MANY minutes it will actually take. But, we eventually won. And it was all worth it when she got home from school and shrieked in her little girl voice, “MY BIKE!” Today, we really are leaving the house, and then tonight we have a babysitter so we can go out for fabulous seafood and wine.
