That Was Way Cool! Beth Snyder June 1, 2010 I hadn’t been to the new art museum (the building they used to be in was far neater architecturally, but not at all practical for the public) until today, and it’s WAY cool! I had also forgotten we have several Saldor Dali drawings as well as a couple of Remington sculptures among a ton of other stuff. Although I think my favourite painting was last year’s Art Prize winner (it’s a competition that was held for the first time last year), which is three separate yet joined canvases about four feet by six feet of the ocean. It looks like a photograph. It’s not. We decided we need to go back again without the kids so we can actually stop and look at what we want to see. But…the kids got to make pinwheels (I made one, too, of course), which was very neat. Gotta love an art museum that has art projects for kids to do for free!
