OK, so I understand that if something is completely outside your normal experience, you don’t necessarily know anything about it. However, if you move into an area that is prone to a certain type of natural disaster, it really is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with what can happen and what you need to do to prevent injury or death because of it. Having just had a conversation with a woman who thought tornadoes moved like hurricanes, I may be being too judgmental (it happens), but please…if you have recently moved from one area to another, please explore what weather patterns you now live in. The life you save may be your own. Or the lives of your spouse or children.
