Rumors Point to LG and Chinese Manufacturer Developing New Nexus Devices Dylan Duarte February 28, 2015 The next Nexus device is still likely a ways away, but the popularity of the brand always has people talking and rumors are already swirling about what’s coming down the pipeline and, more importantly, who’s building it. The latest rumors revolve around not one but two new Nexus devices, one built by LG and the other built by a China-based manufacturer. The LG rumor is easy to believe, given that they built the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5, two impressive handsets that met both critical and financial success. The other rumor states that the Chinese company, whoever they may be, won’t be using Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, but instead will use chips of their own design. This has led GizmoChina to believe that the manufacturer might be Huawei, based on the fact that Huawei produces their own Hisilcon Kirin line of mobile processors. There’s still the lingering question of whether these two manufacturers are both producing Nexus smartphones or if one is working on a phone while the other is working on a tablet. via BGR Share This With The World!
