I don’t know how to comprehend this. It’s Monday, I’m tired, and I’m not entirely convinced that this isn’t a prank. Surely Pepsi – yes, the company behind the wildly popular cola drink – isn’t producing a smartphone? And yet this leaks would suggest that they are!

The phone doesn’t seem all that bad, but it does seem pointless. For around $200, you get a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a 1.7 GHz MediaTek processor, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 2GB RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 3000 mAh battery. It’s not a bad phone for the price, but it’s not the least bit compelling, either.

The Pepsi Phone, which is what most will call it regardless of it actually being named the Pepsi P1, will only be released in China. So if you live somewhere other than China and your dream was to walk around talking into a phone with a Pepsi logo, then a) you have weird dreams and b) you’re out of luck.
