Nothing in the Fridge? Just Press the Pizza Magnet Beth Snyder March 28, 2012 Extras Tell me if this scenario is familiar: You’re hungry. You walk to the kitchen and open the refrigerator. Nothing is in there other than some mustard and a plastic container of questionable age containing something that probably once was edible. You choose the pantry instead. Which contains maybe some pasta, quite possibly a jar of peanut butter, and maybe some spices. So you go back to the fridge hoping something has appeared. But wait…there’s this magnet stuck to the front of it, and it’s got what seems like a magic button on it. All you have to do is press the button and shortly a pizza will arrive! I am not making this up. There’s a pizza shop in Dubai that is offering its best customers a special free VIP magnet that will allow them to order their favourite pizza at the touch of a button. The magnet is Bluetooth-enabled, and syncs to your smartphone to place the order. Shortly a confirmation will arrive on your phone, and all you have to do is make sure you’re home when they deliver. While this is free, it’s really not widely available. As I said, it’s from a pizza shop in Dubai. If you happen to live there, then feel free to visit the Red Tomato website to request your free magnet. The rest of us will just have to remain jealous. But…it wouldn’t surprise me if other pizza places keep an eye on this one to see how well it works, and if it does, it could very well be a possibility at a pizzeria near you.
