Nokia 105 Boasts Incredible 35-Day Battery Life Michael Kwan February 26, 2013 We love our smartphones. When you take a look at a device like the LG Optimus G or HTC One, you find a wonderful device that can do just about anything. That is assuming, of course, that your battery hasn’t died again and you are once again hunting for somewhere to charge it. No matter how great the phone, if the battery’s dead, it may as well be a paperweight. Thankfully, that wouldn’t be a problem with the Nokia 105. Make no mistake; the features and functions of the Nokia 105 are going to pale in comparison to the Samsung Galaxy Note II or any other high-end smartphone. It won’t even compete with low-end smartphones. Instead, the Nokia 105 “feature phone” is a basic candybar that comes with a small color display, a splash-proof keypad, an FM radio, and five preloaded games. There’s not even a camera on there. So, why would you want this? As the title of this post clearly spoils, the Nokia 105 has a battery that will last a whopping 35 days on a single charge. I guess it helps when you don’t have a massive color touchscreen or 4G LTE to worry about. That’s just the standby time, of course, with 2G talk time rated at 12.5 hours. Given that most modern smartphones struggle to last through a full day of work, this is a different beast altogether. Yes, you could supplement your smartphone’s life with some portable USB battery packs, but there’s just something to be said about a phone that will last over a month between charges. Not surprisingly, though, this decided budget-oriented phone will likely never hit North American shores, being targeted much more at emerging markets like India, Russia and the Middle East.
