The first devices to feature the new mobile OS will come from ZTE, Alcatel, LG, and Huawei. All devices will be loaded with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Eighteen carriers will make devices running the Firefox OS initially available in nine different countries, but the United States and Canada aren’t on the list. The phones will be available in Brazil, Colombia, Hungary, Mexico, Montenegro, Poland, Serbia, Spain and Venezuela, with the U.S. supposedly getting the phones some time next year. Hopefully Canada isn’t far behind. All the phones will come with the Firefox browser, Facebook and Twitter, plus the usual smartphone staples.
