Make Like a Hamster and Bowl! Beth Snyder July 16, 2012 That sounded a lot cleverer in my head than it looks on the screen, but whatever. I’m sure you’ve been somewhere that has these giant hamster balls for humans, right? I’ve never been in one, but I’ve always wanted to. This combines an item on my bucket list with a sport I actually don’t mind playing, and the end result is what looks like a whole lot of fun. This is not for those who don’t have considerable disposable income, or for those who don’t have an enormous yard. When it’s inflated, it measures 40′ L x 17′ W x 3 H, and it weighs in at a whopping 280 pounds. The lane is formed of three-foot-high sides, and is kept inflated by an included stationary air blower. There are only six pins, but they stand five feet tall and are made of foam. The ball is inflated to seven feet in diameter using another included blower, then zipped shut with a person inside. All that person needs to do is run down the lane toward the pins, and the game commences. Well, this is no fun. It’s recommended for kids aged 5-12. I think not. Anyway, the lane is constructed of punture- and tear-resistant vinyl, which is supposed to be able to withstand years of play. It also is resistant to mold and fading. The ball is made of clear PVC. It comes with four stakes to secure it to the ground. You’re waiting for the other shoe to drop, I can tell. I warned you, this ain’t cheap. If you want one for your very own, you’re going to have to shell out a whopping $4,500 US. Source: Gadget Review Share This With The World!
