There are a lot of world records and the truth is, a lot of them are really boring. Fortunately, this isn’t one of them. A team of thirty-two people working at the Lego Model Shop in Kladno, Czech Republic spent 17,000 hours and five-million Lego bricks constructing a 43-foot-long, 45,980-pound Rebel X-Wing fighter replica – which just happens to be the biggest Lego model in the world.

This wasn’t just for goofs, however, as the model is part of a promotion for a new animated series coming to Cartoon Network called Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles. The model is currently on display in New York City, but it will be coming to the west coast soon. Once it does, I’m going to sit inside the cockpit, security be damned.

You can see more images of the model at Lego’s official Facebook page. Have a good weekend and may the force be with you.
