LG Trademarks the G Edge Name Dylan Duarte August 20, 2015 News Samsung is all about curves these days, and I’m not talking about the women’s fitness franchise. I’m talking about the Galaxy S6 Edge, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, and the Galaxy Note Edge. All popular phones, all with curved edges. So what is LG going to do when they start falling behind? Well, they’re going to introduce the LG G Edge. The phone hasn’t been officially unveiled, but they’ve recently trademarked the name, and LG has shown in the past that they’re not above mimicking the competition that is currently beating them (and they’re far from the only ones). At CES 2015, LG was showing off a folded screen handset behind closed doors and it’s a good bet that was what’s now being called the LG G Edge. Will curved screens bring LG the same success that they have for Samsung? Or do the curved screens matter at all? Perhaps the Samsung Edge phones are just good phones regardless.
