Leaked Verizon Memo Talks Moto X Release, Pricing Dylan Duarte September 22, 2014 News Motorola revealed the latest incarnation of the Moto X in early September and general pre-orders became available last week, but we still don’t know a lot of details concerning specific carriers. Fortunately, thanks to a leaked memo, it looks like we now know when it’s coming to Verizon and how much it will cost. Verizon users will be able to pre-order the Moto X as early as this upcoming Friday, September 26. Pre-orders end on October 10th, which is likely Verizon’s actual launch date for the phone. Both the black/resin model and the white/bamboo model will run you only $99.99 on a two-year contract, which is perfectly reasonable. In a bizarre turn, the two models don’t share a pricepoint for Verizon Edge subscribers. The black/resin will cost $24.99 on Edge while the white/bamboo model costs a few dollars more at $27.49. Moto Maker will be available to Verizon customers from the start. The 16GB model will be $99.99 on a two year contract and $24.99 on Edge, while the 32GB model will be $149.99 on contract and $27.49 on Edge. The optional wood or leather backings will run you an extra $25. Luckily we only have to wait a week to see if these rumors pan out.
