It’s past time to have some fun at Samsung’s expense. The manufacturer is having a hell of a bad year thanks largely to an exploding handset (which is now legally forbidden from being brought onto an airplane) and it’s high time the parodies started rolling out. A certain Grand Theft Auto V modder agrees and has created a mod that replaces the game’s sticky bombs with Galaxy Note 7 smartphones.

According to The Verge, Youtube took the video down at the request of Samsung, but this is the Internet so of course it’s hard to get rid of anything for good. I’ve pasted a copy below, but who knows how long that one will remain up. The mod is easily available, too.

I want to say that Samsung should have a better sense of humor, but I understand why they don’t think is a laughing matter. They’ve lost over $2 billion, but the bigger problem is the damage done to their brand, damage that can be made worse by reminders such as this parody mod. Then again, going after the mod (or at least the videos) seems to have brought more attention to the issue, so perhaps they should’ve just let it slide.
