Dreary Friday

There’s something just depressing about a dreary, rainy fall day. Usually if I’m up at this time, I’d be squinting and trying to block the sunlight that would be blasting me in the face as I sit here, but today all I can see is water dripping off the roof and a flat, gray, cloudy sky through the leafless trees. Or maybe it’s because I got a bounceback email from my case manager at the workers’ comp. insurance company today that she’s out of the office until Monday. I had sent her my payroll information so she can determine how much I might get in wages until I’m back to work.
