Could Samsung’s Foldable Phone Launch Next Year? Dylan Duarte September 17, 2015 News The concept of folding up your phone before tucking it away in your pocket is definitely hard to imagine, but that phone is still on its way, and it might be arriving sooner than we think. According to a tipster from China, the Samsung phone could launch as early as January. The source claims to have in-depth knowledge of Project Valley, which we learned a few months ago is the phone’s code name. According to the source, the phone is currently in testing, and there are two hardware configurations: one with a Snapdragon 620 and one with a Snapdragon 820. Both models have 3GB RAM, a microSD card slot, and a permanent battery. Every fiber of my being is skeptical that we’ll see the phone available for purchase next year. If it is, it will be late next year. The idea that a phone with such extravagant tech is less than five months away from launch when we haven’t seen one picture (the above picture is from an old concept video) and we’re still calling it by it’s code name just doesn’t compute with me. I think seeing a prototype at a show next year is a very real possibility, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up about owning one. Share This With The World!
