Capcom Plans Original Titles for Wii U Dylan Duarte December 31, 2012 Nintendo’s Wii U has only been out for a little over a month, but as with many new consoles, consumers are already noticing the lack of quality launch titles. Like the Wii before it, Nintendo’s innovative console came out of the gate with a plethora of ports, like Assassin’s Creed III, Darksiders II, and Call of Duty: Black Ops. This is something that the Wii suffered from – an overwhelming number of ports that lazily integrated the Wii’s unique functionality. Luckily, at least one developer is looking to buck that trend. Capcom, makers of Resident Evil and Street Fighter, have expressed interest in creating new titles for the system instead of porting over older titles. To those waiting for Resident Evil 6 to hit Wii U, this might be disappointing, but to every other Wii U owner, it’s a very exciting announcement. You can only do so much with the Wii U’s unique features when you have to force them into an existing game’s infrastructure. via Slash Gear Share This With The World!
