We’re three weeks ago from the launch of RIM’s new line of BlackBerry 10 phones. This last year, the company has had one goal: get enough developers on board so that BlackBerry 10 will have a healthy app market for launch. Did they succeed? According to Martyn Mallick, VP of Global Alliances and Business Development, they did.

According to RIM’s VP of Developer Relations, Alec Saunders, the company has not only achieved its numbers goal, but they’ve also landed the most important apps that they were after. Announcing the launch date of BlackBerry 10 gave developers a deadline and jump-started development on their apps.

Mallick and Saunders were careful with consumer expectations, clarifying that BlackBerry 10 will not have every app and that there will probably be some big name apps missing from the marketplace. Those missing apps will have suitable alternatives, though.

The first BlackBerry 10 phone will launch in March.
