BlackBerry 10 Launches with Over 70k Apps Dylan Duarte January 30, 2013 I’m sure all you business-y types are plenty excited as BlackBerry 10, RIM’s new operating system, launches today on the Q10 and Z10 smartphones. There are over 70,000 apps at launch, and while they still have a ways to go to catch up to the staggering number of apps available on iOS and Android, it’s still an impressive launch number. Skype, Angry Birds, FourSquare, LinkedIn, Twitter and many more are all available in the BlackBerry World app store, which showcases not only apps but all BlackBerry multimedia. BB10 is launching with the support of the eight major movie studios in the US. BlackBerry 10 also supports repackaged Android apps, making it easy for Android developers to get their apps onto RIM’s new OS. Now it’s just time to sit back and see how this fares for RIM. If it does really well, it should fetch a pretty nice asking price should they decide to sell it off. via SlashGear Share This With The World!
