BlackBerry 10 Approved for Department of Defense But iOS Still Under Review Dylan Duarte May 3, 2013 While they still have some finger crossing to do, the folks over at Blackberry can certainly pat themselves on the back now that BlackBerry 10 devices have been approved for use by the United States Department of Defense. The Z10, Q10, and the PlayBook have all been given the go ahead to be used by the DoD when paired with BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10. Along with BlackBerry, the DoD is also using devices running Samsung Knox, software that partitions off a separate and secure environment on your smartphone. MEGATechNews covered this briefly during an interview with Samsung earlier this year. The real question is whether or not iOS is going to make the cut. While they didn’t make it in the first wave of approvals, a DoD spokesperson has said that iOS is still under review and it’s expected that it will eventually be approved for use. If iOS doesn’t get the thumps up, however, then that will truly be a huge victory for Blackberry. via The Verge Share This With The World!
