Apples Launches the 6th Generation iPod Touch Dylan Duarte July 16, 2015 News With the monstrous popularity of the iPad, it’s possible to forget that the iPod is still a thing, but Apple just launched the new version of the iPod Touch. It comes with an A8 chip (putting it in the same CPU family as the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and iPad Air 2) with M8 motion coprocessor, 8MP iSight camera, and 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, and it comes in fancy new colors: space grey, silver, gold, pink, and blue. With the new iPod Touch, Apple seems to be pushing Apple Music, as it’s the first thing mentioned by Greg Joswiak (Apple’s vice president of iPhone, iPod, and iOS Product Marketing) in a statement regarding the new devices. In Canada, the new iPod Touch models will come in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB and will be priced $249, $299, $369, and $499CAD, respectively. The iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle are also available in these colors, and the iPod Shuffle now has a dedicated VoiceOver button that supports 29 different languages. Share This With The World!
