Elephant Appreciation Day Beth Snyder September 22, 2011 Who doesn’t like elephants? Of course, most of us have only ever seen them in the zoo or at the circus, unless you’re lucky enough to have gotten to Africa to go on safari. I think they’re neat, though. Did you know the zoo will accept donations to help care for them? A nice way to show your appreciation of elephants would be to make a donation, if you’ve got the extra money. Apparently, they also love pumpkins, so maybe instead of cash your zoo would let you give them some pumpkins. Sadly, we no longer have an elephant at our zoo…she died of old age and they never replaced her.
