Sweetest Day

Oh, the irony abounds. Last night while I was working my ex called me to tell me he was in town. It has been almost exactly a year (as in, we missed it by two days) since I last saw him, which is when we broke up. So, I walked over to where he was when I got done. Here’s the cool thing: I felt nothing. No hatred, no love, just the pleasure in seeing a friend I hadn’t in a while. And when he left? Again, nothing. It’s weird how someone who once meant the entire world to you can become just another person you happen to know.

Anyway, it’s Sweetest Day. Which is all about doing something cool for the one you love. I woke up to a “good morning, beautiful” phone call, so it’s all good. Hopefully your day is going swimmingly as well.
