Sony’s Xperia Z3 Breaks the Record for Longest Battery Life in its Category Dylan Duarte September 23, 2014 I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say that battery life is the most important factor in a mobile phone. And I’m not going to say “without power your phone doesn’t work,” though that’s true. What I mean is that the whole purpose of the phone is to be mobile, and in order to be a successful mobile phone, you need to be able to take it with you wherever you go without the fear that it’s going to die in a few hours. That’s why it’s so awesome that the Sony Xperia Z3 just broke the record in battery performance for its respective category. Phone Arena put the Z3 to the test and it lasted a whopping nine and a half hours with the screen on. That’s almost two hours longer than the Samsung Galaxy S5, more than three hours longer than my Galaxy Note 3, and over four hours longer than the Apple iPhone 6 (though we know from the reviews that the battery power is lacking in Apple’s latest). Understandably, a powerful battery takes quite a bit longer to charge to capacity; the site clocked the complete charge time at almost four hours. Still, that beats having to carry an extra battery around with you. The Xperia Z3 is a beast. Share This With The World!
