Motorola Canada Tease Phone Announcement for June 1st

All aboard the hype train, choo choo. The Motorola Canada Twitter account is teasing the announcement of their next “bold” phone, and the announcement is coming tomorrow.

What could it be? Could it be the Moto Z2 Play? That phone has seen numerous leaks in the recent past, so we know that it’s coming. It’s supposed to be thinner than its predecessor thanks to a smaller battery. Good for folks who like slim phones, bad for folks who like battery life.

Of course, maybe it’s not the Moto Z2 Play, and it’s something we don’t know about. It’s rare, but it happens. The teaser tweet features a gif that’s full-on 1980s- a woman with retro hair and clothes, sitting in a salon, with neon lights. There’s no telling if the aesthetic has anything to do with the phone, or the relevant part is simply the woman’s excitement. A retro-inspired phone is certainly a possibility. We’ll find out tomorrow!
