Motorola Atrix 4G HD Dock Only Sixty Bucks? Michael Kwan February 1, 2011 One of the highlights from the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year had to be the Motorola Atrix 4G. It’s not just a smartphone; it’s really being touted as a superphone, mostly thanks to the different docks that will be made available for it. As a bit of a primer, the Motorola Atrix 4G is an Android smartphone powered by the NVIDIA Tegra2 processor. The kicker is that, when it is docked, it can provide a completely different “WebTop” operating system that is closer in scope to a netbook or notebook. We’ve heard that the notebook-like dock is going to sell for about $150, but what about the other super dock with HDMI out? Chalk it up to rumor for now, but it seems the other dock is a mere $60. This dock gives you HDMI-out to a monitor of your choosing, as well as several other ports for a keyboard, mouse, and whatever other peripherals you want to use. Get true multitasking, a true (Firefox-based) desktop web browser, and more. Crazy stuff. Considering that the current rumors are pointing toward a $150 price point (with contract) for the Atrix 4G, this could really be a big “iPhone killer” from Moto. We might actually soon forget about the RAZR after all. [Source: MC] Share This With The World!
